Why You Get Almost No Benefits From Taking Vitamin Pills!

Yet another study has come out recently that shows what many of us have been trying to warn people about for years-- there is little to no benefit from taking vitamin supplements, and actually taking some vitamin supplements can be even be dangerous.

Some of the reasons why most vitamin supplements are useless are:

1. Vitamin pills are made from synthetic chemical substances created in a lab, and are merely chemical imitations of the original nutrients found in food. Our bodies don't know what to do with a chemical all by itself, and that's why some of those substances can even be harmful. They are isolated from the co-factors that make the vitamins work in our bodies.

Without at least some of the co-factors found in real food, such as bioflavonoid, co-vitamins, enzymes, co-enzymes, phytonutrients, amino acids, co-minerals and other micronutrients, these chemical vitamin copies really can't do much to fuel our bodies. In their natural form, these co-factors help activate the vitamins in the food and turn it into something the body can recognize and use.

This is why some people can take a 5000 milligram mega dose of Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), equal to 30-50 oranges, and get little or no results from it. The body doesn't recognize the Ascorbic Acid as something it can use. It’s been isolated and chemically copied from nature.

2. Another problem with vitamin pills is that they need a coating on the pill to stay fresh and keep the vitamins active. There are two types of coatings used right now.

The first is a kind of shellac, and unfortunately this tough kind of coating doesn't break down in the body and passes right through you.

The second is type used is a sugar coating that does dissolve quickly. The problem with this, unfortunately, is once you open the bottle and break the seal, these vitamins immediately start oxidizing and after only 10 days they have no nutrient content left at all.

So it's not surprising that new studies are showing that vitamin pills generally have no benefit to the users.

Because of these studies, many people are now advocating that we should totally avoid tanking any supplements or vitamins. The problem with this is that it's becoming increasing clear that our modern diet is becoming more and more deficient in the nutrients we need to survive, thrive and heal.

Even the medical community and the AMA (American Medical Association) have been finally coming to the conclusion that most of us in the alternative nutrition and wellness industry have had for decades-- we just do not get the nutrition we need anymore from our diet.

Some of the reasons for this conclusion are:

1) The SAD (Standard American Diet) is full of junk food and sugary drinks.

2) The bulk of our diet is filled with canned, pasteurized, processed, overcooked dead foods that are low in vitamins and minerals, and do little to meet our nutritional needs.

3) Even if we are eating "healthy" our modern foods have little of the nutrition that they once had, because of poor farming practices such as chemical fertilizers and depleted soils.

So what can we do to increase our nutrient intake, if diet alone won't be enough, and vitamin pill are useless? To start, look for locally grown and organic produce and grass fed meat and dairy products to purchase. They cost more, but they make up for it in by giving us more nutrition and fewer toxins than your average grocery store non-organic foods.

The next thing I would recommend is to supplement with whole food supplements instead of chemical vitamin pills. The body needs the whole food to recognize it as something it can utilize.  Look for a vitamin supplement that is made of real whole foods and has as many of those co-factors in it as possible. Often god whole food vitamin supplements can be found at health food stores.

Some whole foods are considered superfoods because of their superior nutritional content. Try to get as much of your nutrition as you can from these power-packed superfoods.

Some good superfoods to consider adding to your diet are:

Leafy dark green vegetables, omega 3 fatty acids, coconuts and coconut oil, spirulina, chlorella, kelp, maqui berry, acai berry, goji berry, mangosteen, chokeberry, bilberry, pomegranates, red wine and grapes, blueberry, noni, and aloe vera.

One of my favorite whole food supplements is simply cod liver oil. It is loaded with safe natural forms of vitamins A and D, and it's very hard to overdose on these vitamins because they are real food not synthetic versions. New research is showing that cod liver oil protects against cancer, arthritis, coronary artery disease and infection— without any side effects. It's recommend that you take one-half to two tablespoons daily of cod liver oil. It you can get high-vitamin cod-liver oil, that is even better.

All these powerhouse superfoods, and others like them, are important to consume on a regular basis. Even if you eat a well-balanced organic diet, and are getting most of what you need, a trace mineral could be chronically missing from your diet. Without this mineral, you could find it hard to stay energetic and it may even affect your weight, your moods, your hormones and many other areas of your health. So supplementing with superfoods may be the answer.

One of the most complete whole food superfoods known to exist is marine phytoplankton. Phytoplankton are collectively known as micro-algae. These single-cell plants are the basis of all other life forms on planet earth; they are the 'vegetation' of the ocean. Phytoplankton are responsible for making up to 90% of Earth's oxygen.

Marine phytoplankton have the unique ability to transform sunlight, raw inorganic minerals, and carbon dioxide into an invaluable superfood for living things. Phytoplankton have all the vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and amino acids that are required for good health. And since they are so nutrient dense, very little marine phytoplankton needs to be consumed to achieve significant nutritional benefit.

Marine phytoplankton are a better source of minerals than any other vegetable because they contains all the minerals found in human blood. This is because the minerals in sea water are similar to those found in our blood, with nearly identical concentrations.

The best source of marine phytoplankton I've found is in an amazing product called Masaji™ from Be Young.  With over 200 types of diverse chlorophyll rich plankton nutrients for achieving maximum health benefits, Masaji™ is one of the best tasting and healthiest supplements ever made. Plus, it has many of the other superfoods added to it as well, making it a nutritional power-punch for healing and healthy living.
